Overview
The 7.62x39 mm AR-M25T is a highly effective automatic weapon designed for the antipersonnel role at range of 500 m. The system operates on propellant gasses diverted through a vent in the barrel.
The barrel chamber is closed by turning of the bolt and engaging the firing stops in the receiver.
The receiver is made from hot die forged solid blank followed by milling operations.
The weapon is fed from a 30-round arcuated staggered magazine manufactured from glass fiber reinforced polycaproamide.
The trigger-firing mechanism has a hammer which is activated by a firing spring. This mechanism has a safety device-safety for switchover from safe position to single or automatic fire mode, as well as contrariwise. The safety simultaneously serves as a safety lever preventing accidental shots. It is located on the right-hand side of the receiver and is formed as a long pivoted lever. When the safety is set in the uppermost position (safe), the trigger is blocked. In this position the safety serves two other functions:
- prevents contaminating of the receiver through the bolt carrier handle slot in the receiver cover;
- prevents the barrel chamber from reloading.
The butt and the pistol grip are made from glass fiber reinforced polycaproamide.
Main Features:
The Free Float M-LOK Handguard with slots at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions is equipped with MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny top rail for mounting of optics and other tactical accessories.
The slots of the handguard enable the attachment of Flash Light, Laser Aim Indicator, Front Hand Grip, Bipod, etc.
The butt of AR-M25T is a telescopic collapsible plastic butt. The butt is characterized by:
- Possibility of several stages of extraction;
- Rubber non-slip butt pad with tapered angle, allowing faster shouldering & increased comfort with body armor;
- One metal point for sling mount;
- Comfortable for both left/right-handed users.
For rapid fire mode switchover and for convenience of left-handed shooters, an additional left fire mode selector lever is available.
The Sound-suppressor is designed for conducting silenced and flashless firing with 7.62x39 mm AR-M25T.
The Sound-suppressor can be attached directly to the Assault Rifle muzzle having outer thread М14х1LH.
The noiselessness of the shot is ensured by the design of the Sound-suppressor.
Gases succeeding to pass after the bullet, get into the spaces formed between the bafflers, expand and so lose their velocity; in such a way they do not make noise.
