Overview
The HE 81LDMA is one of the most up-to-date high explosive bombs of 81mm caliber, due to its streamlined design of the body and well calculated and shaped fin stabilizer assy, the bomb can reach 6 200 m firing range which is among the longest and most accurate ranges known for this type of ammunition.
The optimum blast and fragmentation effect of approximately 1 400 effective fragments is achieved by the use of spheroidal graphite cast iron with predominately ferritic structure.
PRACT 81LDMA is used for training purposes, its flight ballistic is identical to those of the high explosive version.
Thanks to its streamlined hull design and well-calculated and shaped stabilizer blade, the 81 mm PRACT 81LDMA reaches a range of 6 200 m, which is among the longest and most accurate ranges known for this type of ammunition.
The Mortar Bombs HE 81LDMA and PRACT 81LDMA are fuzed with AF66 (Point detonating, super quick action, boresafe type, muzzle safety distance 40 m) fuze or AF621 (Point detonating, super quick action, boresafe type) fuze.
When firing with Mortar M1 do not fire over Charge 4!
